Our Vision
A just, connected, and inclusive Africa where marginalized communities, especially youth and women, are empowered to lead change
Nuru Trust Network was founded in Kenya with a steadfast commitment to building resilience and creating opportunities for marginalized communities across Sub-Saharan Africa. We believe in the power of community-led interventions to drive sustainable change, particularly by empowering youth and women—two critical groups at the heart of transforming societies.
Our mission focuses on bridging the digital divide, improving access to quality education, and fostering economic empowerment in underserved regions. By providing communities with the skills, tools, and resources they need, we support the vision of Agenda 2063. Specifically, we contribute to Aspiration 1, which envisions a prosperous Africa with inclusive growth and sustainable development; Aspiration 3, which promotes good governance, justice, and respect for human rights; and Aspiration 6, which emphasizes people-driven development, especially by empowering women and youth.
At the same time, our work aligns with key United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 5 (Gender Equality), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions). By focusing on youth and women, we aim to build sustainable, inclusive, and thriving communities across Sub-Saharan Africa

To bridge the digital divide, promote civic engagement, and foster socio-economic inclusion through community-driven innovation and advocacy
We recognize that youth and women are vital drivers of change. By equipping them with the tools to innovate, lead, and build sustainable futures, we empower communities to thrive.
Trust, impact, reach, and innovation guide how we work with communities and partners.
We work hand in hand with communities, partners, and institutions, building relationships rooted in transparency, accountability, and local leadership.
We focus on results that matter to communities - learning, livelihoods, peace, and voice. Our programmes and partnerships are how we turn that commitment into lasting change for youth and women across Africa
Headquartered in Kenya and connected across Sub-Saharan Africa, we serve communities where support is needed most.
We combine civic technology, creative storytelling, and practical tools to help communities solve problems in new and sustainable ways.
Programmes, partners, and publications.
Connecting youth and women to Agenda 2063 and the Africa we want.
We harness youth-led civic tech and advocacy to strengthen democracy, accountability, and citizen participation. From hackathons to digital reporting tools, we ensure young people have a voice in shaping governance
We equip youth with future-ready skills, AI, coding, digital literacy; to bridge the digital divide. Our programs not only teach technology but create pathways to jobs, entrepreneurship, and global opportunities
We foster resilience and social cohesion by empowering youth and women as peacebuilders. Through dialogue, IT hubs, and grassroots advocacy, we reduce vulnerability to extremism and promote inclusive societies
We integrate green entrepreneurship and sustainable practices to ensure communities thrive in the face of climate change. From bamboo farming to artisanal mining transformation, we connect livelihoods with resilience
We elevate the stories and solutions of marginalized communities onto national, regional, and global platforms. Using podcasts, comics, and policy engagement, we shift narratives and influence decisions.
We believe in co-creation: working with local youth, communities, and partners to design context-appropriate solutions. Sustainability guides everything we do, whether it's through local leadership, financial viability, or embedding digital trust and inclusion across our work.
Organisations we collaborate with through programmes and advocacy.
